MONTREAL, June 15 /CNW Telbec/ - On Saturday, June 12, the elegant and renowned Hôtel Le St-James, the gathering place of the jet set located at 355 Saint-Jacques Street in Montreal, hosted one of the poshest evenings in the city! This private, race-weekend cocktail party was, without a doubt, the most exclusive rendezvous of the artistic and sports elite. More than 600 invitation-only guests turned up, including St-James regulars, Ferrari drivers and team members, local and international celebrities, and professional hockey players.
A red-hot red carpet!
The red carpet parade, worthy of any in Hollywood, included: Geneviève Brouillette, Mitsou, Karine Vanasse, Maxime Remillard, Virginie Coossa, Isabelle Racicot, Caroline Néron, Éric Salvail, Jonas, Jacynthe, James Hyndman, Jean-Marie Lapointe, Hal Gill, Glen Metropolit, Kirk Muller, Maxime Talbot, Kristopher Letang et Alexandre Bilodeau. Business leaders Stephen Bronfman, Marco Mattiacci, President and CEO of Ferrari North America, and Michel Trudel of Mel's Cité du cinéma rounded out the party.
"The hotel has been right in the heart of Montreal's thriving cultural district for many years, and with all the jet set excitement surrounding the return of the Grand Prix to Montreal, we were inspired to create a glamorous European-style event. We are proud to have been able to offer our hospitality to guests from all kinds of different milieus, including our own athletes, who gave such incredible performances last season," explained Elizabeth Glimenaki, the hotel's Vice-President of Sales and Marketing.
Cars, private jets, canapés, champagne and music
The hotel closed off Saint-Jacques Street between Saint-Pierre and McGill streets so that guests could admire roughly 50 Ferraris and a private jet that were on display, a North American first for a reception given by a hotel! As well, a dozen professional models sported the latest BCBG fashions, while Chef Michele Mercuri of XO Le Restaurant prepared a mouthwatering menu that included delicious all-the-guests-could-eat canapés and oysters. All this was refreshingly washed down with Moët Champagne! Also deserving of mention was the excellent work of acclaimed DJ Jojo Flores and the entertaining show given by Jonathan Roy.
One of the most renowned hotels
The Hôtel Le St-James is a member of The Leading Small Hotels of the World. Quebec businessman Lucien Remillard, who also garnered acclaim for the success he achieved with RCI Environnement and the TV station V, has brought his hotel to the international stage.
