HALIFAX, May 7 /CNW/ - Casino Nova Scotia is proud to present Kenny Loggins live at the Schooner Showroom for two shows, Friday, July 16 and Saturday, July 17, 2010. Kenny Loggins is best known for his 1980's hit movie soundtracks including Footloose, Caddyshack and Top Gun.
His music career blossomed in the early 1970's when he joined with fellow singer/songwriter Jim Messina. The duo recorded many hit singles including "Danny's Boy" and "Your Mama Don't Dance" before their split in 1976. In 1977 Loggins produced his first solo album titled Celebrate Me Home, which included the popular hit, "I Believe in Love". In 1979, Loggins wrote the song, "What a Fool Believes" with Michael MacDonald, winning him a Grammy Award in the Song of the Year category. Loggins and MacDonald also wrote the song "This Is It", adding a second Grammy to their collection in 1980 for Best Pop Vocal Performance.
In 2005, Loggins and Messina reconnected for a successful worldwide tour. In 2007, Loggins released the new album What About Now with a new record label, 180 Music. Loggins has recently appeared on the popular television show, Don't Forget the Lyrics where he performed "Footloose" and "I'm Alright". Loggins is also known for his popular children's albums such as Return to Pooh Corner and his most recent album recorded in 2009 titled All Join In.
