Cascadia Strengthens Management Team with the Appointment of Stuart Van Bibber as VP Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs

VANCOUVER, BC, Sept. 10, 2026 /CNW/ -- Cascadia Minerals Ltd. ("Cascadia") (TSX-V: CAM) (OTCQB: CAMNF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stuart Van Bibber as Vice President Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs. In this role he will oversee all aspects of community engagement and consultation, government and regulatory affairs, environmental and land management.

Cascadia is also pleased to announce the appointment of Sue Craig as an advisor to Cascadia. Sue will provide further support and advice to the company regarding environmental, social, Indigenous and community relations and regulatory affairs.

Stuart Van Bibber Biography

Stuart has over 20 years' experience in environmental science and management, having worked on behalf of First Nations governments, First Nations Development Corporations, Territorial government, private sector, and industry in the Yukon. Stuart has a BSc in Environmental Science from the University of Victoria, and has provided senior level technical expertise related to mining, reclamation and closure activities, and First Nations consultation.

Most recently, Stuart was a Partner at ERM Consultants Canada in Whitehorse, leading the growth of ERM into new markets in the Yukon. Prior to ERM, he founded and led Dena Cho Environmental and Remediation Inc., a company wholly owned by Ross River Dena Council, building it over eight years into a multi-disciplinary environmental firm delivering environmental monitoring programs, assessment reviews, remediation and environmental construction projects, and First Nations consultation and community engagement. He has served as a Board member of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Board, as a founding director of the Yukon First Nation Chamber of Commerce, and is currently a sitting member of the Yukon Mineral Advisory Board. Earlier in his career, Stuart served as YESAA Coordinator for the Council of Yukon First Nations during the development and finalization of the Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act, and later supported environmental monitoring through Access Consulting Group, including water licence compliance and First Nations liaison at various mines sites throughout the Yukon including Minto Mine, Western Copper, Coffee Project and White Gold Project.  

Sue Craig Biography

Geologist Sue Craig has had more than 35 years of award-winning experience in managing and advising with respect to regulatory, environmental, social, Indigenous and community relations related to the mining industry. Her career spans projects in Yukon and British Columbia across all stages of development, from exploration and permitting to production and closure. She held senior executive roles, including President & CEO and Director of Northern Freegold Resources, and worked extensively with governments, Indigenous communities, and publicly listed companies. Ms. Craig played key roles in advancing the Galore Creek project through its EA more than 20 years ago and in negotiating a landmark Participation Agreement with the Tahltan Nation. Prior to that, she was part of the team that permitted and developed the Brewery Creek gold mine and collaborated with the First Nation to implement one of Canada's first socio-economic accords. She has been instrumental in advancing many agreements and setting best practices since then. 

Ms. Craig has served as the Chair of AME Mineral Exploration Roundup, as well as a Board Member of AME, Director of Yukon Energy Corporation, President and Director of the Yukon Chamber of Mines, Chair of Yukon Mineral Advisory Board, and is currently a Director of Yukon Foundation, Director of Yukon Imagination Library and Chair of the Advisory Board at Lakehead University's Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Mining & Exploration. She has received numerous awards recognizing her contributions toward environmental stewardship and sustainable development and has been a long-standing advocate for responsible mining practices.  She received the 2017 Canadian Women in Mining Trailblazer Award, and has been recognized as a Yukon Women in Mining Champion.

Stock Option Grants

In connection with the above appointments, Cascadia announces the granting of 600,000 incentive stock options (the "Options"), pursuant to its Omnibus Equity Incentive Plan. The Options were granted at a price of $0.50 and have a term of five years and will vest on a quarterly basis, commencing three months from the date of grant.

About Cascadia

Cascadia's flagship asset is the 180 km² Carmacks Project in the high-grade Minto Copper Belt in Yukon Territory, Canada, 35 km southeast of the past producing Minto Mine. The road-accessible project has a Measured and Indicated Resource containing 651 Mlbs of copper and 302 koz of gold (36.3 million tonnes grading 0.81% copper, 0.26 g/t gold, 3.23 g/t silver and 0.01% molybdenum) or 1.07% copper equivalent. A 2023 preliminary economic assessment demonstrated positive economic potential, with a $330.1 M post-tax NPV(5%) and 38% after-tax IRR at US$4.25/lb copper and US$2,000/oz gold.

Cascadia is also exploring the Stikine Terrane in Yukon for new gold-copper discoveries through its Strategic Alliance with Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. The Stikine Terrane extends into Yukon from British Columbia's Golden Triangle and is a highly prospective target area for gold-copper porphyry mineralization. While the expression of the Stikine Terrane in British Columbia has been explored in detail – resulting in numerous discoveries – its expression in Yukon is comparatively underexplored and not well understood.
