car2go North America Names Daniel Florence as Chief Operating Officer; Amber Quist as Chief Marketing Officer

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 19, 2015 /CNW/ -- car2go N.A. LLC, the market leader for one-way carsharing in North America, announced today the appointments of Daniel Florence as Chief Operating Officer and Amber Quist as Chief Marketing Officer.  Both Florence and Quist will report to car2go North America's President and CEO, Paul DeLong.

As Chief of Operations, Florence will lead the company's operating business across the U.S. and Canada, as well as business development opportunities, and new product development and integration. 

Prior to joining car2go, Florence had served as Vice President of Florida Airport Operations at Hertz in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since 2014, overseeing Florida Airport Zone operations.  A seasoned executive in the rental business, Florence previously held various operational leadership roles at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group for nineteen years.  He received a certificate in Executive Management from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned both his MBA and Bachelor of Science in Business Management at the University of Phoenix in Phoenix, Arizona.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Quist will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of integrated marketing and brand building for car2go in North America, including brand management, member experience, and consumer insights. 

Quist was recently Vice President of Brand Marketing and Communications at Spredfast, an enterprise social media marketing platform in Austin, TX, where she was responsible for leading the strategy and execution of brand development, company positioning, integrated campaigns, and corporate communications.  Prior to this role, she served in various marketing leadership roles at Mass Relevance, Bazaarvoice, and Nike, Inc.  A Texas native, Quist received both her Master's in Advertising and Bachelor of Arts in Marketing from the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
