eyecare technology dealer
Clarion Medical to provide Canon technology to eyecare professionals across Canada
MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 6 /CNW/ - Canon Canada Inc., a leader in digital imaging technologies, today announced that Cambridge, Ontario-based Clarion Medical Technologies is the latest addition to its Canadian authorized dealer network for Canon ophthalmic diagnostic equipment. The partnership will allow Clarion to deliver Canon's digital retinal cameras to hospitals, clinics and eyecare professionals nationwide.
"We are pleased to welcome Clarion Medical Technologies to our national dealer network and look forward to helping them bring the latest Canon eyecare technology to clinics and hospitals across Canada," said Mason Olds, Senior Vice President, Medical Systems Division, Canon Canada. "Canon is dedicated to developing innovative products to meet the always evolving needs of the medical community. Our extensive network of dealer partners is the key to ensuring that this technology gets into the hands of Canadian ophthalmic professionals where it can help improve the health of patients across the country."
Clarion Medical Technologies is one of the largest private specialty medical providers in Canada. With the addition of Canon technology to its list of offerings, the Clarion product portfolio now includes:
- CX-1 Mydriatic & Non Mydriatic Retinal Camera: The CX-1 Digital Retinal Camera is a fully digital hybrid retinal camera system with mydriatic and non-mydriatic modes. By simple push-button operation, this camera can change modes and adjust functions to deliver comfortable procedures to the patient for concurrent eye examinations. - CF-1 Mydriatic Retinal Camera System: The CF-1 integrates a digital SLR camera with a high-sensitivity image sensor that achieves ultra- high resolution images with superior detail, contrast, and color fidelity. The sensor's high pixel count ensures images are sharp and clear even when enlarged, and its high sensitivity reduces the amount of light needed for image capture - a factor that helps increase patient comfort during examinations. - CR-1 Mark II Non-Mydriatic Retinal Camera: The CR-1 Mark II Retinal Camera focuses on reducing patient stress to provide comfortable retinal exams by significantly reducing the flash intensity. - RK-F1 Full Auto Ref-Keratometer: The RK-F1 creates a detailed view of the eye that is useful for identifying cataracts, vitreous opacity, scars, and other serious eye problems. The technology helps reduce overall exam time and will raise the accuracy and reliability of eye exams. - TX-F Full Auto Tonometer: The TX-F is the world's first full auto- alignment tonometer and employs one of the most delicate air puffs of any non-contact tonometer for patient comfort.
"We are very excited to be joining Canon's medical technology dealer network and to have the opportunity to bring Canon technologies to our Canadian eyecare professionals. Canon has always been a trusted technology leader in providing innovative devices to the medical market," said Joseph Arango, Vice-President of Medical at Clarion Medical Technologies. "Clarion's clinical support and coast-to-coast service allows both companies to work in unison to enhance our goal of improving the quality of eyecare in Canada."
