BARICHARA, Colombia and TORONTO, Oct. 26, 2017 /CNW/ - CannaVida SAS received their third and final requisite license this week to begin the cultivation, production, domestic distribution and global exporting of medicinal grade Cannabis oil extracts. Now officially in the public resolution registries of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Health, CannaVida will proceed with the production of high and low concentration THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) on their 18 hectare facility in the secure region of Santander in Colombia.
"We are immensely excited and it speaks volumes about our dedication and credibility in this industry, that we are one of the first four companies that have been granted the full cultivation, processing and export license. The antiquated political and social stigmas surrounding cannabis will soon be debunked as we move full force ahead in our relentless pursuit to improve the lives of countless patients globally. CannaVida's mission is to drive normalization of this medicine through the education of patients and health care practitioners, and by making it as affordable and readily accessible as Tylenol and Advil. Accessibility to efficacious medicine should be a fundamental right – not a privilege. Finally obtaining the most crucial license this week has brought us one step closer to realizing our vision," says Ron Marzel, CEO of CannaVida.
CannaVida is also pleased to announce that the permit to commence construction of their 450,000 square foot Cannabis campus has been granted.
"To the best of our knowledge, CannaVida is the only licensee ready to commence construction. Our Cannabis campus will also include a 15,000 square foot cGMP-certified processing and extraction laboratory," says Marzel.
CannaVida is based in Barichara, Colombia with a Canadian executive management team, and is positioned to be the world's most trusted provider of affordable medical cannabis products through their pharmaceutical distribution partners. They have been trailblazing this industry from the onset – Prior to this week's announcement of receiving their final license, CannaVida was the first company to register with Colombian Fundo Nacional de Estupefacientes, and the second company to be issued a Cannabis Manufacturing and Export license by Colombia's Ministry of Health.
