Canadian Pump & Compressor Steps Up In Wake of Calgary Flood
CALGARY, Alberta, June 24, 2013 /CNW/ - Canadian Pump & Compressor, an international industrial equipment rental, sales and service provider, is in the midst of dealing with one of the worst floods to affect Calgary in recent memory.
Over 75,000 Calgary residents have been forced to evacuate their homes and countless businesses and residences are completely devastated. Canadian Pump & Compressor is working with the city of Calgary to dewater the city and hopefully save homes and businesses from further damage. CPC has pooled its resources and equipment from all of its branches to deal with the magnitude of this job. So far, hundreds of diesel- driven Pioneer pumps, Tsurumi sump pumps and Subaru water pumps have been set up all over the city to begin the dewatering process. From large sites like Calgary's Saddledome to private homes, CPC is working around the clock.
CPC President Owen Myhre said, "I was born and raised in Calgary and I've never seen anything like this. We are doing everything we can to help the people of Calgary recover their homes and businesses. Our guys are doing an incredible job working nonstop, basically doing Whatever It Takes."
