TORONTO, Oct. 3, 2012 /CNW/ - Taste of Nature, whose all natural food products are sold in 35 countries around the world, can now add outer space to its distribution network.
Two boxes of Nova Scotia Blueberry Fields organic food bars are joining Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield during his upcoming six-month mission aboard the International Space Station.
Taste of Nature, based in Markham, Ont., is over the moon that its organic snack bars become part of the payload heading to the space station.
"I cannot wait to look into the night sky knowing that astronauts are orbiting the earth and snacking on one of our bars," says Steve Diakowsky, CEO of Taste of Nature. "It's also the first time a Canadian is commanding the space station, so we are doubly proud."
Taste of Nature's certified organic bars are vegan, kosher, non-GMO and are made with the very best ingredients earth has to offer, including fruits, berries and seeds sourced from organic farmers across Canada.
Nova Scotia Blueberry Fields are made with fresh organic blueberries, raspberries, cranberries and crispy rice, plus omega and fibre-rich flax. They are cold pressed, not baked, to protect the precious nutrients.
