TORONTO, Sept. 8, 2014 /CNW/ - The Canadian Council on Africa (CCAfrica) welcomes the participation of the Hon. Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade, and the Hon. Christian Paradis, Minister of International Development and la Francophonie, at the forthcoming first Canada-Africa Business Summit. The Summit, organized by CCAfrica, will be held in Toronto, from September 15-18, 2014.
"Africa has demonstrated over the recent years that it has become the next economic destination for all investors and entrepreneurs. Canadian entrepreneurs and economic decision-makers should jump at this opportunity to expand their horizons and partner with African economic lions," said Mr. Benoit La Salle, President & CEO of Windiga Energy Inc. and Chairman of the Board of the Canadian Council on Africa.
In addition to the Canadian Ministers, Ministers from Cameroon and Ethiopia will also address the Summit. Cameroun and Ethiopia are this year's Focus Countries and both will present their own Business Forum on September 15.
The Summit aims at gathering key decision makers from Canada and Africa, either from the private or the public sectors. Almost a thousand high level executives and government officials are expected to attend this unique event. More than 80 speakers will share their expertise and discuss strategic issues for the strengthening of Canada-Africa economic and trade relations. Business2Business meetings and networking events will enable participants to discuss with potential new business partners.
Registrations for the summit are still open and can be accessed here.
