VANCOUVER, Feb. 19 /CNW/ - Sidney Crosby's game-winning shootout goal for Team Canada was watched by an incredible 12 million viewers, preliminary overnight data from BBM Canada data confirms. The 3-2 overtime win over Switzerland was watched on average by 6.8 million viewers, with 769,000 viewers on V/CPAC and RDS. Nearly 19 million Canadians tuned in to some part of the game. After Day 7, 96.3% of the population - or 32.27 million Canadians - have engaged with Vancouver 2010 coverage, according to Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium's CUME index.

        (Global/CBS, 2.45M) from 8-9 p.m. ET.
    *   Christine Nesbitt's gold medal performance in Speed Skating (Ladies'
        1000m) was watched by 1.5 million viewers; later last night,
        4.1 million viewers watched her presented with her medal during the
        Victory Ceremony on CTV and RDS.
    *   The CAN/GER match in Women's Curling delivered 1.25 million viewers
        for TSN, while 1.37 million viewers watched the Men's Free Skate.
    *   Curling was also a big draw on Rogers Sportsnet, with 909,000 viewers
        tuning in to see Kevin Martin skip his fourth win for Canada over
        France.
    *   JEUX OLYMPIQUES AUX HEURES DE GRANDE ÉCOUTE delivered 696,000 viewers
        for V/CPAC, RDS and RIS, while JEUX OLYMPIQUES EN JOURNÉE was watched
        by 374,000 viewers.
