Canada's Top Creative Youth Compete in Global Cannes Competition

K9 strategy+design Supports Carol Hung and Kobi at Cannes Lions 2015

TORONTO, June 17, 2015 /CNW/ - K9 strategy+design (K9) proudly announces Art Director Carol Hung, Gold Place Winner of the Globe and Mail's regional Young Lions competition, will be representing Canada in the global Young Lions competition during the world's premier creativity festival. Hung and her team mate Carly Ouellette earned the top spot to compete for Canada in the global competition out of 80 other competitors in the category. The competition saw marketers under the age of 30, and creatives under the age of 28, produce an ad for the anti-bullying organization No Place to Hide.

Hung will be joined in France by K9 live mascot, Kobi, in a social media campaign featuring Kobi on location throughout Cannes France. Lion's participants will be encouraged to take a pop-up Kobi along on their journeys during the ten day Cannes Lions festival and post his adventure with #CannesKobi on Instagram. Hung and the K9 design team, with help from Colour Innovations, created the fun initiative to elevate Canada's presence and participation in the global industry event. The Young Lions competition takes place during the Cannes Lions festival in Cannes France from June 17 - 27. Winners are chosen by Cannes Lions Jury; a prestigious group of industry experts from around the world. Past Canadian teams participating in the Young Lions competition have won silver and bronze in 2013 and gold in 2011. K9 strategy+design's art director will join the Canadian team in competition against creatives from around the world.
