Canada's Top Bloggers Support Financial Literacy
NEW HAMBURG, ON, Nov. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - To mark Financial Literacy Month, Life Insurance Canada.com Inc. president Glenn Cooke has challenged the online community in Canada to help educate consumers. He's spearheading the Blog for Financial Literacy campaign, which will include the participation of many of Canada's top financial bloggers, including CanadianCapitalist.com and CanadianCouchPotato.com.
"Consumers are overwhelmed with the amount of information they have on their finances," Cooke says. "My aim with the Blog for Financial Literacy campaign is to reduce the noise level so consumers can get tips they can actually use in their daily lives."
The campaign challenges bloggers across the country to write a simple article on their single best financial tip and to publish it on November 15. Each article will be appear on the bloggers' on their own sites, and a list of all participants will appear at www.lifeinsurancecanada.com/financial-literacy
Cooke himself will participate on his blog at www.lifeinsurancecanada.com/blog, where he will share his best tip relating to life insurance. "The tip I share won't be something you'll read about on the internet," he says.
