Canada's new commitments to families displaced by war

MISSISSAUGA, ON, April 13, 2016 /CNW/ - World Vision is encouraged by today's announcements from the Government of Canada signalling its on-going commitment to help vulnerable people displaced by conflict. As one of Canada's largest humanitarian development agencies, World Vision says these new funding allocations will provide vital assistance to millions of desperate families and help secure a future for some of the world's most vulnerable children.

  • World Vision has been responding to this crisis since May 2011 when we initiated activities in northern Lebanon in response to the initial influx of Syrian refugees
  • WV supports children and families with access to life-saving food and non-food items, as well as health, water and sanitation, protection and education needs
