Canada celebrates top investor relations performance
Winners announced at the annual IR Magazine Canada Awards
TORONTO, Feb. 18 /CNW/ - Winners of the IR Magazine Canada Awards 2010 were revealed this evening at a gala event at the Fairmont Royal York, Toronto. Jane Watson of Jane Watson Investor Relations was honoured with the prize of Lifetime achievement in investor relations. The grand prix for best overall investor relations was divided into four categories by market capitalization, with EnCana scooping the award for a mega-cap company, Agnico-Eagle Mines winning the large-cap category, Cascades coming top for a mid-cap company and COM DEV International taking home the trophy in the small-cap category.
A full list of this year's award winners and sector leaders is available below, or on our website at www.irmagazinecanada.com.
The independent survey that provided the data for the awards was conducted by Mary Maude Research using samples provided by Thomson Reuters and Equicom and additional data from TMX Group. To identify the nominees in two special categories, PrecisionIR Group surveyed retail investors and Erdos & Morgan surveyed US investment professionals. The complete results of the survey are now available in IR magazine's Investor Perception Study, Canada 2010.
The event was hosted in association with the Globe and Mail and was co-sponsored by Bell, Broadridge, Business Wire, the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, CCR Solutions, CNW Group, Georgeson, Laurel Hill Advisory Group, Marketwire, NASDAQ OMX, NYSE Euronext, OTCQX, RR Donnelley, THE WORKS and TMX Group.
The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world's largest survey of this kind, each year canvassing more than 5,000 analysts and investors around the world and identifying award winners in seven different countries or regions.
