Canada celebrates Jack Daniel's 160th birthday during September
Nationwide parties, a Canadian 160th Birthday cocktail and limited edition bottle* commemorate the festivities
TORONTO, Aug. 31 /CNW/ - For most people, birthdays come one day each year, but in Jack Daniel's case Canadians can celebrate on any day during a month-long birthday celebration this September. Jasper Newton "Jack" Daniel, who pioneered the world's best-selling whiskey, was born in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in September 1850, but due to the passage of time and fires, no one knows the exact date of his birth. This September, the folks at Jack Daniel's are celebrating Jack Daniel's 160th birthday with nationwide celebrations, a special Jack Daniel's birthday cocktail recipe and a limited edition bottle, only available in stores in September.
"Jack Daniel's is more than just a quality whiskey; it's an icon - a symbol of enduring, uncompromising taste," said Jeff Arnett, Master Distiller. "Mr. Jack has been there for so many of our celebrations over the years, this September we're here to celebrate the man."
Canadians can toast Mr. Jack by making Jack Daniel's new birthday cocktail, the Jack 160th. Created for the refined taste of the Canadian raconteur, the cocktail is one perfect way to enjoy Jack Daniel's.
