is joining hundreds of participants and volunteers on
Saturday, January 30th
to 'bust a move', set two new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD records(R), and help acquire new, digital mammography equipment. Bust a Move for breast health is a unique, six-hour fitness extravaganza fundraising event where participants have raised pledges to support the acquisition of life saving digital mammography equipment, and will attempt to break the world records for the most people hugging simultaneously and the longest massage chain. Bust a Move for Breast Health, jointly hosted by the IWK Foundation and the QEII Foundation, will hit the
Halifax
Metro Centre with a spectacle of music, video and special celebrity guests - including
Richard Simmons
.
Media are invited to attend. Media entrance to the event is through the Metro Centre entrance at the corner of Brunswick and Carmichael Streets where there will be a media registration desk open at
9 a.m.
The event runs until
6 p.m.
, with the world record attempts happening during the main program. The final hour is dedicated to
Richard Simmons
' special workout regime.
