TORONTO, Nov. 24 /CNW/ - Brendan Moore & Associates (BMA), Canada's preeminent sales tax solutions provider, today announced three new Western Canada investors and the opening of a Calgary office.
BMA is expanding to Western Canada to meet the growing demand in the mid- to large-size client market for its services in the region. Establishing a local footprint will also enable BMA to deliver a broader range of services to its existing Western client base. The official opening of the office is planned for November 30, 2009 and Allen Rekunyk has taken on the role of Senior Director of Business Development, Western Region.

Arlene Dickinson is the CEO of Venture Communications, one of Canada's largest independent marketing firms, with offices in Calgary, Toronto and Ottawa. Ms. Dickinson has received several honours and awards including: "Global Television Woman of Vision", "Calgary Business Owner of the Year Award" and "PROFIT Magazine's TOP 100 Women Business Owners". She is also a winner of the "Pinnacle Award" for "Entrepreneurial Excellence", "Canada's Most Powerful Women Top 100", "Ad Rodeo's Lifetime Achievement Award" and "Marketing Magazine's Power List". Dr. Amit Monga is the Chairman and Managing Director of Sarapoint Global Ltd., an international advisory firm that assists private and public companies with capital markets positioning and executing growth strategies. Dr. Monga is a member of the Business Advisory Council at the University Of Alberta School Of Business, where he was recently appointed as an Executive Professor of Finance. He is an active fundraiser for the Toronto International Film Festival and writes a monthly column on finance for the National Post.
J.P. Veitch is a Managing Director at Thomas Weisel Partners. Thomas Weisel Partners is an investment bank, founded in 1998, focused principally on the growth sectors of the economy. Mr. Veitch is the Past Chairman of the Liver League and was previously on the Board of Governors of the Scott Seaman Memorial Foundation and the Gary Roberts Children's Foundation. He is an avid sportsman having participated in national and provincial rodeo championships and was a colour commentator for the Calgary Stampede. In 2005, he was awarded the Alberta Commemorative Medal - Lieutenant Governor - Community Service.
