Brazilian Resources Increases Ownership Interest in Limestone Project
CONCORD, NH, Aug. 18 /CNW/ - Brazilian Resources, Inc. ("Brazilian" or the "Company") purchased an additional ten percent interest in Petrocal Indústria e Comércio de Cal S.A. ("Petrocal"), the owner of limestone concessions in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil, for R$846,154 (approximately US$480,000).
Brazilian owns 56.4 percent of Petrocal through its 70.5 percent ownership of BrasAgro Minerals Fertilizers, Inc., which owns 80 percent of Petrocal. The additional ten percent of Petrocal that Brazilian holds directly gives the Company a total interest in Petrocal of 66.4 percent.
