BELOEIL, QC, Feb. 10, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - Dany and Éric Bonneville, co-presidents of Bonneville Homes, are pleased to announce the acquisition of the assets of Alouette Homes, a family-run firm that has been in business for 40 years and, like Bonneville, specializes in the manufacture of factory-built homes. Under the terms of the agreement, Bonneville will acquire the Alouette model home site in Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby as well as the manufacturing plant in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Rochelle.
"This acquisition will double the size of our production facilities and allow us to move forward with the ambitious growth program we introduced a few years ago," said Dany Bonneville. "In addition to launching our new, contemporarily designed Natur series and unveiling our state-of-the-art Design Center last year - as we celebrated the company's 50th anniversary, we have opened six new sales offices in Quebec and Ontario in recent months. This acquisition will enable us to double our production over the next three years, taking our annual output of 500 to 600 homes to more than 1,000. Not only will this move let us meet the growing demand for factory-built homes, with a wide range of new models added to our lineup, it will help us protect over a hundred jobs in the Granby area."
Founded in 1971, Alouette Homes is the second-oldest manufacturer of prefabricated homes in Quebec - Bonneville being the oldest. Over the past 40 years, Alouette has manufactured over 20,000 homes. Located near Granby, less than 30 minutes away from the Champlain Bridge and Bonneville's Beloeil-based facilities, Alouette Homes is a family-run organization that shares Bonneville's values and commitment to its employees and customers.
