Blair Rubber/Hyload Announce Purchase of Elastikote
Seville, Ohio Manufacturer Expands Its Product Line Via Acquisition
SEVILLE, OH, March 21, 2017 /CNW/ - Blair Rubber & Hyload Inc., announced today that they have acquired the brand and assets of Smithville, Ohio based Elastikote LLC. The purchase of Elastikote's assets was finalized on March 10th, 2017.
While the companies are not direct competitors, they do operate within related areas of the roofing and waterproofing industries. Elastikote is a designer and supplier of solvent-based roofing and below grade waterproofing systems. Blair Rubber is a leading global supplier of rubberized tank linings, and Hyload Inc., manufactures thermoplastic membranes for the roofing industry, in addition to related waterproofing and wall flashing membrane products. Blair Rubber and Hyload are part of the IKO Group of companies, a world leader in the roofing and waterproofing industry.

"Elastikote's products and knowledge base will allow us to expand our product offerings, providing an even greater range of options to our customers."
The Elastikote operations, along with its workforce will be retained as part of Blair/Hyload, and will be relocated 20-30 miles west to Blair Rubber's Seville Ohio manufacturing plant.
