A New Luxury Boutique Hotel and Condominium Brand Premieres in Toronto
Celebrities, Jet-setters and Society Come Out to Celebrate BISHA Lifestyle
TORONTO, Aug. 13 /CNW/ - More than three years in the making, Bisha Hotel and Residences is the combined vision of the principals of two multi-award-winning firms - prominent real estate developers, Sam Herzog and Mel Pearl of Lifetime Developments, and legendary hospitality czar and trend-setter, Charles Khabouth of INK Entertainment. Bisha is the newest private-label Hotel and Residences brand to originate in Toronto since Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts was introduced in the 1960s, and is the result of the shared passion of these Canadian owners and hands-on operators to offer the ultimate lifestyle destination in key cities around the world. New Bisha locales are now in the early stages of development.
The unveiling of the 41-storey flagship property designed by award-winning Wallman Architects with daring interiors by renowned Munge Leung took place yesterday, at 56 Blue Jays Way, in the Bisha Presentation Centre situated in the heart of the Entertainment District. The Khabouth-crafted private event featured a star-studded guest list featuring actress Molly Sims (Las Vegas), super model Yasmin Warsame, urbanist and author Richard Florida, Ashley Leggat (Dirty Dancing, Life with Derek), Mayoral candidates George Smitherman and Deputy Mayor and City Councillor Joe Pantalone, City Councillor Kyle Rae, Chef David Rocco (La Dolce Vita), Chef David Adjey (The Opener), Chef Paul Boehmer (Boehmer), Chef Chris Macdonald (Cava and XOCAVA), Belinda Stronach, Joe Mimran (Joe Fresh Style) and Kimberley Newport Mimran (Pink Tartan), Vanessa Mulroney, Les Minion (Hugo Boss), Bernadette Morra (Fashion Magazine), Jimmy Molloy (Chestnut Park), Amoryn Engel and Shinan Govani (National Post), Suzanne Boyd (Zoomer Magazine) and a roster of the city's Who's Who.
Bisha embodies a unique combination of the best in design, art, cuisine, music and culture, and all were in evidence at this exclusive sneak preview. The air was punctuated by the mesmerizing beat of DJ Mark Oliver, while guests were treated to a sampling of exotic tastes courtesy of executive chef Guy Rubino of Ame (pronounced Ahmay) and executive chef Gaetano Ferrara of Ultra. Event cocktails were co-sponsored by Veuve Clicquot, Glenmorangie, Belvedere Vodka and Hennessey Black. Bisha's Signature Cabernet Merlot and Unoaked Chardonnay by Pillitteri Estates winery were also a hit.
Bisha, Khabouth's childhood nickname, was chosen by the partners to signify the fresh approach and departure from the "norm" that this new brand will represent. Bisha will offer in-house entertainment, sophisticated food and beverage service, cutting-edge amenities and personal services - all within over 30,000 dedicated sq. ft. The 332 condominium suites will be located on floors 10 to 39 in sizes from 379 sq. ft. to over 1,600 sq. ft. to achieve a timeless appeal. The 100 hotel rooms will offer an awe-inspiring esthetic comprised of sheer lace, rich leather, etched glass, rich granite, brilliant chrome, sumptuous marble and solid brass cohabiting in imaginative surroundings to appeal to the jet set and local trailblazers alike. Residents and guests will enjoy two bars, two restaurants, a 24-hour café, a 7,000 square-foot rooftop patio, and an infinity pool overlooking the city.
Suite finishes will include ceilings that soar up to 9 feet in height; sleek kitchens with Munge Leung-designed cabinetry granite and/or marble countertops and brand name European-style appliances; stacked washer and dryer; hardwood flooring in principal rooms; ensuites with soaker tub and/or separate frameless glass shower - all as per plan.
A focal point of Bisha Hotel Toronto will be its two themed floors, personally designed by Khabouth in collaboration with Alessandro Munge of Munge Leung: Rock and Roll, will be depicted in all its decadent glory through sexy blacks and hot reds, leather and lace, hardwood and plush fabrics; and the antithesis of Rock and Roll, the Hollywood floor that will be alive with luxe finishes, lush greenery, and will be characterized by a fresh and airy LA/Beverly Hills vibe.
Canadian industry leaders and success stories in their own right, Lifetime Developments' Herzog and Pearl and Ink Entertainment's Khabouth, come from long careers in their respective businesses and have a proven track record of quality, success and longevity. The Bisha lifestyle is driven by Khabouth's esthetic. He is an internationally acknowledged nightlife innovator who understands the needs and desires of a diverse clientele - including a roster of celebrities. Pearl and Herzog bring to the equation Lifetime's development savvy and acumen for raising the bar to create the quintessential residential experience.
Bisha condominium prices will range from the mid-$300,000's to over $1.5 million. To register now visit, www.bisha.com or call 416-637-2211.
