REGINA, May 18, 2018 /CNW/ - Bill Boyd and the CBC have resolved the lawsuit commenced by Mr. Boyd in 2016 following the publication of two articles written by Geoff Leo about certain land transactions in connection with the Global Transportation Hub. The resolution was reached after the parties participated in a confidential mediation process.
David Hutton, CBC Saskatchewan's Managing Editor, said: "The CBC reported on a matter of public interest. We regret if Mr. Boyd or anyone else believed that the CBC was implying criminality or illegal conduct on the part of Mr. Boyd. That was not the case."
The matter was resolved without financial consideration.
Bill Boyd said that he is pleased to have the matter concluded. "For me, this was never about the money," said Boyd, "this was about defending my reputation."
