Bill 201, Election Finances Statute Law Amendment Act, 2016

TORONTO, June 8, 2016 /CNW/ - The Standing Committee on General Government will meet to consider Bill 201, An Act to amend the Election Finances Act and the Taxation Act, 2007.

The Committee intends to hold public hearings in Kingston and Ottawa during the week of June 27, 2016; in Toronto during the week of July 11, 2016; in Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, London and Windsor during the week of July 25, 2016; and in Thunder Bay, Sudbury, North Bay and Toronto during the week of August 8, 2016.

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation in Kingston or Ottawa on Bill 201 should provide their contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016.

Interested people who wish to be considered to make an oral presentation in all other locations on Bill 201 should provide their contact name, mailing address, phone number, and email address to the Clerk of the Committee by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2016.

Late requests may be accommodated.

Those who do not wish to make an oral presentation but wish to comment on the Bill may send a written submission to the Clerk of the Committee at the address below by 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016.
