MONTREAL, Nov. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - Manulife today announced the official opening of the new headquarters for its Quebec operations, Maison Manuvie, at 900 de Maisonneuve West in Montreal. The move to the new state-of-the-art building, announced in 2014, marks the beginning of a new period for Manulife in Quebec.
"Accelerating our growth in Quebec is an important component of Manulife's long-term Canadian strategy," said Michael Doughty, President & CEO of Manulife Canada. At the centre of this is Maison Manuvie, bringing together our employees with a common focus, our customer. With the customer at the centre of everything we do, we will become the reference point for health, wealth and innovation here in Quebec."
Manulife celebrated the opening of Maison Manuvie on November 27 in the company of esteemed guests and dignitaries including: Carlos Leitão, Minister of Finance of Quebec and Michael Sabia, President and CEO, Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec as well as Manulife executives including President and CEO Roy Gori.
"As the head of Manulife Quebec, I am particularly proud today," said Richard Payette, President & CEO, Manulife Quebec. "Quebec is and will continue to be a key pillar for all our Canadian businesses. We also believe that good corporate citizens contribute to the creation of wealth for their local community and economy. Our investment in the new Quebec headquarters is one example of that. We're investing in the areas of finance, technology, innovation and research, and will continue to expand our partnerships within the community."
