"It's hard standing on this mat hearing we're the first eliminated. I expected the race to be difficult but this totally surprised us. I've never traveled anywhere in Canada before and to be here right now and seeing what's around us is unreal," said Brandon. Reflecting on his bond with Brandon and their friendship throughout the experience, Anthony went on to say, "Going through this I definitely made a friend and brother - I love you man, I got you."

Episode 401 Recap
In the Season 4 premiere, 10 teams embarked on an adventure of a lifetime, beginning in the rugged Northwest Territories. In Yellowknife, teams proceeded to the Legislative Assembly of the Northwest Territories where they were tasked with correctly translating a Weledeh phrase to English using plaques scattered across the forest. In order to receive their next clue, teams had to search for the words "travel safely across the land". Teams then departed for Jasper, Alta. on one of two flights where they faced their first Roadblock, climbing under The Jasper SkyTram - arguably one of the most gruelling challenges in THE AMAZING RACE CANADA history. The Racer attempting the Roadblock had to climb outside of the tram - high above the treetops - onto a ladder, transition to monkey bars and use their upper body strength to traverse to the other side to retrieve their next clue. Ashley struggled to get across, while Emmett, and Steph made it through on their first attempt with Joel, Jillian, and Kristen watching from an adjoining tram. Meanwhile Kelly and Kate, and Anthony and Brandon made the decision to skip the Roadblock and instead each took a four-hour penalty.
Teams then proceeded to suit up and paddle down the ice-cold Athabasca River to find their next clue - a three-part Roadblock. After locating Two Valley Creek Canyon, Racers first had to rappel down a rockface, then navigate under a bridge to a river valley where a Parks Canada representative handed them an avalanche beacon. Their next clue was emitting a signal and Racers had to determine how to use the beacon to find the signal and the clue. Exes Jillian and Emmett arrived first at the Pit Stop at Pyramid Island Lake winning a trip for two to London, UK with five nights' accommodation provided by Hotels.com. After being unable to catch up to Kelly and Kate - the other team that chose a penalty - best friends Anthony and Brandon were eliminated from the race.
