First Ever Collaboration Between Be Viacom and the Arison Group Set to Encourage Thousands to Participate Through Innovative Broadcasts & Interactive Social Microsite
LONDON, NEW YORK and TEL AVIV, Feb. 13, 2012 /CNW/ - In a first ever deal between Be Viacom - a division of Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) - and Arison Group, the world's leading youth entertainment brand MTV will leverage its extensive broadcast and online network across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) to join visionary businesswoman and philanthropist Shari Arison in her initiative, International Good Deeds Day, taking place on 25th March 2012. The partnership is sponsored by Arison Group, through its philanthropic arm - The Ted Arison Family Foundation, and its business arm - Arison Investments.
In a six week campaign, beginning 13th February, MTV will reach youth audiences ahead of the event, calling on its millions of viewers from 40 countries across the EMEA region, encouraging them to do something good, be it large or small, for the benefit of others.
The campaign includes call to action co-branded promotional spots developed by Be Viacom's creative team. Viewers are asked to share images, text and videos of their own good deeds - or that of someone they know - via a dedicated website, http://www.gooddeedsday-mtv.com. MTV and Arison will select the two most creative and inspiring uploads, who will each win a VIP trip for two to an international MTV event.

Viewers will also be able to document their good deed activities in photographs, writing and slogans that describe their experience. The International Good Deeds Day campaign website will also allow users to find organisations in their own countries with which they can volunteer all year round.
International Good Deeds Day was founded six years ago by Shari Arison, owner of Arison, a philanthropic and business group, through Ruach Tova (Good Spirit, NGO). The initiative began in Israel, and soon crossed borders, growing every year to become a major annual international tradition. In 2011, some 140,000 Israelis participated and thousands more all over the world, making last year's Good Deeds Day the largest yet.
