BC Ferries offers 66 per cent savings per additional foot on extra length passenger vehicles
Select sailings on Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay and Tsawwassen – Duke Point routes
VICTORIA, June 10, 2014 /CNW/ - BC Ferries announced today the "Size up the Savings" promotion just in time for summer vacation planning. On Wednesdays and Saturdays from June 18 through September 6, customers with vehicles longer than 20 feet will pay only $2.00 per foot additional length charge (regularly $6.10) on the Tsawwassen – Swartz Bay and the Tsawwassen – Duke Point routes on sailings starting at 4:00 pm onwards.
"The Size up the Savings promotion provides customers with extra length vehicles an opportunity to travel for less this summer between Metro Vancouver and Vancouver Island," said Janet Carson, BC Ferries' Vice President of Marketing and Travel Services. "This discount promotion is designed to shift traffic from busier sailings and reward travellers driving motorhomes or towing boats and trailers for travelling at off-peak times."
The Size up the Savings promotion is specifically for extra length private passenger vehicles and recreational vehicles. It is not applicable to commercial vehicles or buses.
Space on the selected sailings is on a first-come, first serve basis. While reservations are not required to take advantage of the promotion, they are recommended to ensure a spot on the sailing of choice.
