TORONTO, Sept. 26, 2016 /CNW/ - Serafini Releasing presents Bazodee on September 30, a 'Come Alive' Caribbean Musical featuring Machel Montano in his debut feature and the heartbeat of his Soca music, influenced by the traditional sounds of India and electronica.
Set on the colourful islands of Trinidad & Tobago, Bazodee pulses with sensuous dance rhythms.
Anita Ponchouri (Natalie Perera), the dutiful Indian daughter of a deep in debt businessman (Kabir Bedi), is about to marry a wealthy Londoner (Staz Nair). A chance encounter with Soca singer, Lee de Leon (superstar Machel Montano), sets the plot in motion. de Leon agrees to perform at the engagement party for both families. Unable to deny their mutual attraction, Anita must now choose between the answer to her family's financial prayers and the possibility of true love.
Machel Montano has won countless awards. He has sold out NYC's Madison Square Garden, thrilled Coachella, and rocked 35,000 souls at home in Trinidad.
Natalie Perera makes her leading role film debut.
Acclaimed Indian actor Kabir Bedi has appeared in over 100 films in the US, his native India and in Italy where he was knighted in 2010.
