BASF invites Canadian journalists to 2014 North American Agricultural Solutions Media Summit
MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 9, 2014 /CNW/ - BASF will welcome journalists from across Canada to the 2014 North American Agricultural Solutions Media Summit in Research Triangle Park (RTP), Durham, North Carolina, June 10-12, 2014.
The event, "Linking Innovations That Yield Results," will highlight BASF's commitment to the farming industry and focus on how BASF innovations help meet the growing needs of its customers.
"We're proud to showcase our products and the customer-focused research behind them at events like these," said Ron Kehler, Business Director for BASF's Canadian Crop Protection Division. "This is an opportunity to demonstrate our long-term dedication to agricultural research – including the work done in North Carolina and its impact on growers across Canada."
As part of the agenda, delegates will learn about BASF innovation and the vision for the future from BASF leaders such as Markus Heldt, President, Crop Protection Division, and Nevin McDougall, Senior Vice President, North America Crop Protection.
They will also listen to a food industry expert panel on the future of agriculture and food industries from respected experts including the 2010 North Carolina Farmer of the Year, a futurist, an academic, and a well-known food personality.
Finally, delegates will visit field trials featuring new BASF products at the Research Farm in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
Canadian delegates will also tour the BASF research headquarters and participate in one-on-one interviews with Canadian executives on the following topics:
