Bank note event: Bank of Canada issues $10 bank note celebrating the 150th anniversary of Confederation

OTTAWA, June 21, 2017 /CNW/ - On Saturday, June 24, 2017, the Bank of Canada will hold an event to mark the entry into circulation of the Canada 150 commemorative bank note.

 

Time:

14:00 (Newfoundland Daylight Time)

The Mockbeggar Plantation Provincial Historic Site
Library
Roper Street
Bonavista, Newfoundland and Labrador



Interview opportunities:

Monique LeBlanc, Regional Director of the Bank of Canada, will be available to answer questions about the theme and the various security features of the commemorative note.



Bank note exchange:

Commemorative bank notes will be available on-site for purchase by members of the media in attendance (limit: one note per person). Only cash purchases will be accepted. There will be no provisions for debit or credit transactions.
