HAMILTON, ON, Oct. 15, 2026 /CNW/ -- Canadian footwear brand Baffin expands the Hero Collection with new additions to ICE CREW (SAFETY TOE & PLATE), following a successful launch in 2025. Originally introduced in a men's black style, ICE CREW (STP) is now available in a men's brown colourway and women's-fit in both black and brown. ICE CREW (STP) features a waterproof leather upper with a breathable membrane to help keep feet dry and comfortable throughout long shifts. The easy Chelsea-style pull-on design allows for quick entry in urgent situations, while monochromatic styling offers a clean, professional look compatible with a wide range of uniform requirements. Built using direct-injection construction, the boot delivers an improved fit with lightweight flexibility and long-lasting durability.

Engineered for protection and stability, ICE CREW (STP) is equipped with a Composite Safety Toe and Plate for lightweight defense against impact and puncture hazards. The outsole incorporates IceBite® technology for greater slip resistance on ice than conventional rubber, while a rubber toe guard and Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU) external heel counter provide enhanced durability and structural support. A lightweight PU midsole promotes lasting comfort and responsiveness, complemented by a removable thermal insole featuring an aluminum reflective layer and waffle-comb footbed for additional warmth and cushioning. The rubber outsole with a flexible tread pattern delivers dependable traction and performance across a variety of work surfaces.

To deliver lasting warmth and comfort in cold-weather conditions, ICE CREW (STP) utilizes Baffin's Fixed-Fit multi-layer inner boot system to maximize warmth without compromising comfort. The combination of Thermawick™ moisture-wicking technology, B-Tek™ Foam cushioning and lightweight B-Tek™ Heat hollow-fibre insulation helps regulate temperature while maintaining breathability. A waterproof breathable membrane with booty construction adds dependable wet-weather protection, delivering warmth comparable to 400g insulation in a lightweight, performance-driven package.

ICE CREW (STP) is Real-World Tested™ (RWT™)* Tundra Rated, offering comfort during moderate to high activity in snow-covered environments where temperatures from -10°C to -30°C / 14°F to -22°F have been experienced. The boot is also B-Tek™ Dry Waterproof Breathable, delivering wet-weather protection with enhanced breathability and lightweight comfort.
