Avison Young hires valuation and advisory specialist Toivo Heinsaar in Toronto
Real estate industry leader brings 18 years of experience in the GTA market
TORONTO, May 12, 2014 /CNW/ - Mark Fieder, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the company's Eastern Canada region, announced today that real estate valuation and advisory professional Toivo Heinsaar has joined the firm to expand the company's property appraisal and advisory service offerings across Canada.
Effective immediately, Heinsaar joins Avison Young as Senior Vice-President, Valuation and Advisory Services, Ontario. Based in the company's global headquarters in downtown Toronto, he will service clients throughout Ontario and on a national basis. Formerly Director, Real Estate Valuation at Deloitte, Heinsaar brings to Avison Young 18 years of industry experience.
At Avison Young, Heinsaar will bring his extensive expertise to further strengthen the company's growing valuation and advisory service-line offering, while coordinating with other service-line leaders across the country to provide appraisal, valuation and advisory services to clients as part of the firm's integrated model.

During his distinguished career, Heinsaar has held senior roles at Colliers International and Cushman & Wakefield. His areas of expertise include single-asset valuation, portfolio valuation, highest- and best-use analysis, appraisal review, dispute analysis and litigation support, and transaction support. His clients include some of the nation's leading financial and public institutions, real estate developers, REITs and investors.
Heinsaar holds an AACI designation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, as well as a licensed broker with the Ontario Real Estate Association and the Toronto Real Estate Board.
