Avigilon Promotes Ric Leong to Chief Accounting Officer

Leong plays key role in securing US$200 (CDN$250) million credit facility; brings more than 14 years of senior management experience to expanded leadership team

VANCOUVER, April 13, 2015 /CNW/ - Avigilon Corporation ("Avigilon") (TSX:AVO), a leading global provider of end-to-end security solutions, today announced the promotion of Ric Leong to Chief Accounting Officer and Senior Vice President. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and the Senior Management Team, Mr. Leong leads the company's accounting operations on a global basis, including public company reporting, treasury, and financial planning and analysis.

Prior to joining Avigilon as Vice President of Finance in July 2014, Mr. Leong served in several financial leadership positions, including Corporate Controller and Director of Business Planning at two large U.S.-listed public companies. Mr. Leong is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia and is a Director and Treasurer for the Kidney Foundation of Canada, British Columbia & Yukon Branch. Mr. Leong received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia.
