Aveda Institute Canada Announces "Born To Style" Scholarship Contest for 2013
AVEDA SEARCHES FOR THE NEXT SUPERSTAR HAIR STYLIST
TORONTO, Nov. 21, 2012 /CNW/ - The Aveda Institute Canada is jumpstarting the careers of creative Canadians looking for their opportunity to work in the beauty industry by giving away over $40,000 in scholarships. Four hairstyling scholarships will be awarded—one lucky winner at each Aveda Institute campus: Winnipeg, Calgary, Vancouver and Toronto. To enter contestants must submit a video showing Aveda why they were BORN TO STYLE.
Sixteen finalists will be chosen to advance by the Aveda Canada Creative Team. The public will vote online to send their four favourite hopefuls to compete in the final round of competition. The top 5 aspiring hairstylists in each region will compete at a live style-off and runway show where an esteemed panel of style and beauty judges will select the winners.
Videos must be submitted online via www.borntostyle.ca by March 1, 2013. The finale runway shows will be hosted in May 2013. Judges include, Ray Civello, President & CEO of Aveda Canada, Melissa Hill, Salon Magazine Editor-in-Chief, and Kristjan Hayden, editorial hairstylist and Creative Director for Civello Salon & Spas.
