The ranking - which this year surveyed 259 organizations, including eight law firms – measures employee engagement by exploring employees' commitment to staying with an organization, saying great things about their organization, and striving to excel within the organization, along with 21 other indicators.

In 2014, Stewart McKelvey exceeded the average score of participating law firms and the Canadian national average due, in part, to the firm's commitment to:
