Aston Hill Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

TORONTO, Sept. 18, 2014 /CNW/ - Aston Hill Financial Inc. ("Aston Hill") (TSX:AHF) announces the appointment of Neil Murdoch as Chief Operating Officer of Aston Hill and President of Aston Hill Asset Management Inc. ("AHAMI") effective today. Mr. Murdoch joined Aston Hill in August 2013 and brings over 25 years' experience in the financial services and investment management industries to Aston Hill, including a comprehensive understanding of the business side of the industry. As COO and President, Mr. Murdoch will solidify the business' already strong foundation while providing focus and direction to the firm. His proven operational expertise, strong strategic and analytical skills and outstanding leadership abilities will be a valuable asset to the future growth of Aston Hill.

Mr. Murdoch succeeds former Aston Hill COO and AHAMI President, Michael J. Killeen, who tendered his resignation on September 17, 2014 and has chosen to pursue another opportunity.
