Artis REIT announces timing of release of financial results for the quarter
ended September 30, 2009

WINNIPEG, Oct. 1 /CNW/ - Artis Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX: AX.UN) ("Artis" or the "REIT") announced today that on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, prior to the open of the Toronto Stock Exchange, it will release its financial results for the three and nine month periods ended September 30, 2009.

Interested parties are invited to participate in a conference call with management the following day: Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 12:00 noon CST (1:00 p.m. EST).
