(TSX-V:RGX) Argex or the Company reports final assay results from the first hole that intersected titaniferous magnetite at the La Blache property, West Hervieux occurrence. Massive titaniferous magnetite was intersected over a core length of 161.25m in hole HW-10-001. This is the widest massive titaniferous magnetite intersection to date, and has an average grade of 42.62% Fe and 18.29% TiO2 and 0.48% V2O5. Assays are very consistent in grade except where recent dykes cut through the massive vanadium rich titaniferous magnetite.</p> <p>A table of all individual final assays, and calculated Fe2O3, calculated TiO2 and calculated V2O3 is included at the end of this release.</p> <p>On <span class="xn-chron">March 1, 2010</span> Argex reported that drilling on the La Blache Properties has now seen 10 holes totalling 1452 metres completed at the West Hervieux occurrence. A total of 6000m is currently planned for the West Hervieux occurrence. Once drilling is complete on the West Hervieux Occurrence, a 7000m drill program is planned to commence on the East Hervieux occurrence, located approximately 2 km east and 1.25 km north of the West Hervieux Occurrence.</p> <p>On <span class="xn-chron">March 15, 2010</span> Argex reported preliminary assay results for Iron, Titanium and calculated results for TiO2 and Fe2O3. These preliminary results confirmed the high grades of Iron and TiO2 in hole HW-10-001.</p> <p>The following information on the use of Vanadium is from the Mineral Information Institute's website (<a href="http://www.mii.org/Minerals/photovan.html">http://www.mii.org/Minerals/photovan.html</a>)</p> <p/> <p>Vanadium itself may be soft in its pure form, but when it is alloyed (that is, mixed) with other metals like iron, it hardens and strengthens them dramatically. Consequently, vanadium is used extensively to make alloys (mostly steel alloys) for tools and construction purposes. Most of the vanadium consumed is used for these applications. Specifically, vanadium is alloyed with iron to make carbon steel, high-strength low-alloy steel, full alloy steel, and tool steel. These hard, strong ferrovanadium alloys are used to make armor plating for military vehicles and other protective vehicles. It is also used to make car engine parts that must be very strong, such as piston rods and crank shafts. The steel "skeleton" or frames of high-rise buildings and oil drilling platforms must be very strong to support the weight of the building and its contents; vanadium steel has the strength to support such massive weight.</p> <p>Some vanadium is used in other industrial applications. For example, vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) is used production of glass and ceramics and as a chemical catalyst. (A catalyst is a substance that assists in and often speeds up chemical reactions but is not consumed in the chemical reaction.) Compounds of vanadium are used to dye fabrics.</p> <p>Scientists have discovered that a mixture of the elements vanadium and gallium are useful in making superconductive magnets.</p> <p/> <p>Below are excerpts from the <span class="xn-chron">December 4, 2008</span> NI 43-101 Technical Report covering the Mouchalagane and La Blache Properties. The MRNFQ published a report and map jointly with Bersimis Mining that located and described the East Hervieux and West Hervieux occurrences (RP374) revealing the presence of medium to coarse grained magnetite in anorthosite. According to estimates made by Bersimis Mining at the time "these deposits contained 135,000,000 tons of ore up to a depth of 300 feet. It is reported that the average content of the ore is of 49 percent iron and 21 percent of TiO2." This estimate is historical in nature, non-compliant to NI 43-101 Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves, and therefore should not be relied upon, but should only be considered as an indication of the iron-titanium mineral potential and not necessarily indicative of the mineralization on the La Blache Property.</p> <p>The drill program was planned and is being supervised by Jean-Sébastien Lavallée, P.Geo, Consul-Teck Exploration Inc., of Val d'or, Québec, Argex's Silver Capital Inc. consulting geologist and qualified person, as well as reviewing and approving this release. The drilling is being completed <span class="xn-person">Major Drilling</span> Group International Inc, with crews being based out of the Val d'or, Québec office Samples were sent for analysis in sealed containers to the Chemex laboratory in Val-d'Or by employees of the Company. Chemex is the laboratory used for analysis of all samples from programs on the LaBlache property. The samples are weighed and identified prior to sample preparation. The samples are crushed to 70% minus 2 mm, then separation and pulverized to 85% passing 75 (micro)m.
