Architech Makes Fast Company's Best Workplaces for Innovators List in AI

Joining Google, Lenovo and Williams-Sonoma among this year's honorees.

TORONTO, Sept. 14, 2026 /CNW/ -- Fast Company announced its eighth annual Best Workplaces for Innovators list, recognizing businesses that are creating cultures where innovation can thrive at every level. Architech, a Toronto-based AI services firm, earned recognition for AI, automation, and machine learning excellence for the second consecutive year. Architech is one of 20 companies recognized globally in the category this year.

Last year, Fast Company highlighted Architech's company-wide AI Innovation Challenge, where employees identified opportunities to improve workflows and built AI-powered solutions to address them. In 2026, that work moved into daily operations. Employees in finance, delivery, sales and marketing redesigned their own workflows, completed the firm's AI Academy training before touching company data, and shipped the results into production rather than leaving them as pilots.

Architech applies internally the same approach it brings to clients: identifying where AI can improve the work, redesigning the workflow, engineering AI into production, and measuring the operating result.

One example is Architech's finance team, which replaced disconnected systems and spreadsheets with an integrated stack, then rebuilt reporting, reconciliation and forecasting workflows using Claude. Across these workflows, manual effort for reporting, reconciliation and statutory statements has fallen by roughly 80 percent, measured against the previous process. Human approval remains in place for payments, outputs and exceptions. The same approach is now being applied to workflows across the business.
