AppNeta Dramatically Expands Deployment Options, Adds Automatic BGP Analysis Along with Active DNS Monitoring, and Improves SD-WAN Support to Extend its Lead in the NPMD Market
BOSTON, Sept. 18, 2018 /CNW/ -- AppNeta, the leader in actionable, end-to-end network performance monitoring from the end-user perspective, today announces the release of significant new product enhancements to the company's performance monitoring platform. Built for the cloud and SaaS-focused modern enterprise, AppNeta Performance Manager now includes an entirely new suite of physical and virtual monitoring points that easily scale from the largest data centers to the smallest remote offices. This release also provides native support for the Azure Cloud and IBM Cloud platforms, automatic BGP analysis, active DNS monitoring, and optimization for SD-WAN deployments in the remote office.
AppNeta's SaaS-based platform provides actionable visibility into the network performance and associated end-user experience of business-critical applications. AppNeta supports all modern application deployment architectures including hybrid or public cloud, SaaS-based, and private data centers. Over 1,100 AppNeta customers leverage the platform's real-time monitoring and end-to-end path, packet, flow, and URL HTTP/S data types. AppNeta also offers the industry's best polling granularity of 15 seconds with historical data retention for up to one year.
AppNeta Performance Manager's proven scalability empowers CIOs and digital enterprise architects to obtain a centralized and cost-effective understanding of the real world performance impact of their journey to the Cloud from any combination of thousands of locations including headquarters, large regional offices, or small remote offices.
Nearly Unlimited Automated Deployment Options and Enterprise Integration
AppNeta Performance Manager now offers industry-leading deployment flexibility, including physical, virtual, and cloud-native monitoring points that meet the scale needs of even the largest heterogeneous, distributed organizations. Capabilities include:
- A full range of performance analysis modes including path, packet, flow, and web from a single monitoring point
- Multiple connectivity options for both wireless and wired networks
- Capacity scaling from full line-rate analysis rates of 1 Gbps to 100 Gbps to accommodate even the most intense resource demands from the smallest remote office to the data center
- Centralized management and deployment options to allow auto-deployment and auto-configuration monitoring at scale with the existing RESTful API's further extended to permit faster and deeper integration with upstream platforms
"As many large enterprises embark on their move to the cloud, they begin to realize they're running blind without actionable performance insight," said Matt Stevens, Chairman, President, and CEO of AppNeta. "It's been our mission to comprehensively solve this problem at scale by delivering the actionable insight IT needs to ensure the best possible connections to business-critical apps, wherever they're hosted."
Deeper DNS Performance Monitoring and Automated BGP-based Routing Analysis
This release vastly extends AppNeta's existing DNS capabilities by introducing the ability to monitor all DNS servers and associated lookups, even in modern clustered DNS architecture. Response times and timeouts are now trended to better understand the DNS-related impact on end-user experience.
Further, BGP-derived insights will be alongside existing path information to automatically understand and monitor WAN routing and carrier ownership. All AppNeta deployments will include both BGP and DNS capabilities at no additional cost. Enhanced DNS monitoring is available this month with the new BGP insights coming in November.
SD-WAN Deployment Acceleration
The adoption of SD-WAN in the remote office is accelerating, adding further complication to end-to-end performance visibility. AppNeta's new suite of monitoring points will enable large enterprises to contextualize application performance across all their locations before, during, and after SD-WAN rollout. The new monitoring points will support complex SD-WAN deployments easily with increased capacity for multiple concurrent network connections and additional deep packet inspection processing capabilities for real-time application intelligence.
"Many of our customers are quickly realizing the value of SD-WAN deployments, including decreased WAN costs and increased overall capacity, but they seldom anticipate how the complexity of multiple connections will affect their visibility into end-user experience from remote offices." said Wilfried van Haeren, CTO of EdgeWorx Solutions, an AppNeta partner. "AppNeta is our go-to solution for enabling end-to-end insight and visibility into distributed environments, including SD-WAN deployments, ultimately saving our customers money and allowing them to scale faster."
AppNeta is the only network performance monitoring solution that delivers deep, actionable, end-to-end network performance data from the end-user perspective. With AppNeta's SaaS-based solution, IT and Network Ops teams at large, distributed enterprises can quickly pinpoint issues that affect network and business-critical cloud application performance, regardless of where they occur. AppNeta is trusted by some of the biggest Fortune 1000 companies, including 3 out of the 5 largest corporations in the world, as well as 4 out of the 5 largest cloud providers.
