Another Successful Winter Celebration at Rideau Hall Français

OTTAWA, Feb. 9, 2019 /CNW/ - The Office of the Secretary to the Governor General (OSGG) is pleased to announce that its annual Winter Celebration was a remarkable success, offering visitors an opportunity to celebrate the magic of winter.
Visitors had the opportunity to take part in such winter sports as skating, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and curling; and also to try traditional foods from Nordic countries and other seasonal treats.
"We are fortunate to live in a country with four beautiful seasons, where we can enjoy the outdoors and be active all year long," said the Governor General. "It is thanks to the many people who came together – volunteers, partners and embassies – that this event continues to be a success."
The OSGG was delighted to have Winter Celebration recognized as an official Winterlude activity for the first time in the history of the event.
