(the "Company") announced today the appointment of Ann Davis as an independent Director of the Company and Chair of the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Ms. Davis' appointment expands the Company's Board of Directors to nine directors, seven of whom are independent directors.
After a 37-year career at KPMG LLP, Ms. Davis retired from KPMG in 2013. She was a partner in the audit practice for over 25 years with a specialization in the financial services sector, where she served as the lead audit engagement partner for some of the firm's largest financial services clients. Ms. Davis serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of Women's College Hospital Foundation, and as Director and Chair of the Audit Committees of Callidus Capital Corporation and the Canada Guaranty Mortgage Insurance Company. Ms. Davis became a Chartered Accountant in 1979 and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario in 1997. She graduated from Queen's University in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree.
