Government of Canada supports the Corporation du Théâtre Saint-Eustache
SAINT-EUSTACHE, QC, Feb. 11, 2019 /CNW/ - Cultural infrastructure is critically important to the country's arts organizations. The Government of Canada is committed to supporting the creation and renovation of performance venues and cultural spaces that help bring art to all Canadians.
The Honourable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism, today announced $126,892 in funding for the Corporation du Théâtre Saint-Eustache.
This support, provided through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, will allow the organization to modernize Le Zénith performance hall, which will allow it to diversify its programming and better meet the needs of performing artists using the facility.

Quick Facts
A not-for-profit professional arts organization, the Corporation du Théâtre Saint-Eustache holds, maintains and manages Le Zénith performance hall, which was built in 2015 within the Cinéma Saint-Eustache.
Le Zénith, with a seating capacity of 712, offers multidisciplinary arts programming, including musical, theatre and comedy performances. In 2018, the organization staged more than 200 performances and attracted almost 90,000 spectators.
The specialized equipment will allow the organization to avoid renting sound and lighting equipment to produce its shows. Thanks to this project, Le Zénith to acquire the equipment needed to accommodate productions with varied technical needs.
The Canada Cultural Spaces Fund supports the improvement of physical conditions that foster innovation in the areas of heritage, culture, creativity and the arts. The Fund supports renovation and construction projects, the acquisition of specialized equipment and feasibility studies related to cultural spaces
