Allscripts names team to lead international growth

Rich Berner to serve as president of international, Mark Hubbell as Canada managing director

CHICAGO, Oct. 31, 2013 /CNW/ - Allscripts recently named a team of executives to better deliver on client obligations and lead international growth. Rich Berner joined Allscripts as president of Allscripts International, based in Chicago and reporting to Allscripts Chief Executive Officer, Paul M. Black.

Berner brings to Allscripts a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, global markets and what clients need to succeed. Berner was previously senior vice president at Caradigm (A Microsoft/GE Joint Venture), where he led the client organization. Prior to joining Caradigm, Berner served in a number of executive roles of increasing responsibility at Cerner Corporation and other technology companies domestically and internationally. Allscripts names first Managing Director for Canada

Allscripts appointed Mark Hubbell as Managing Director for Canada, working out of Kelowna, British Columbia, and reporting to Berner.

Hubbell, who joined Allscripts in 2012, is a senior technology executive with more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology and Health Informatics. Previously, Hubbell served as Territory Sales Director – Health at Sierra Systems Group Inc. and Director of Information Management and Technology at David Thompson Health Region. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with provincial and territorial governments, health authorities, physician practices, and a wide variety of clinical communities.
