AKELA PHARMA APPOINTS NEW BOARD MEMBER AND ANNOUNCES APPROVAL OF CONTINUED
LISTING ON TSX
AUSTIN, TX, Dec. 16 /CNW Telbec/ - Akela Pharma, Inc. ("Akela"), (TSX: AKL), a leader in the development of therapeutics for the treatment of pain, and the company's wholly owned subsidiary, a leader in pharmaceutical formulation, PharmaForm, today announced the appointment of Beng Lai to the Board of Directors and the completion of the TSX delisting review of the company's shares.

In addition, Akela announced today that the Company has received notification from the Toronto Stock Exchange that the TSX has completed its review of the common shares of Akela (Symbol: AKL) and determined that Akela does meet TSX's continued listing requirements.
