- Five new non-stop routes between Canada and Europe for summer 2027
- Quebec City–Puerto Plata and Montreal–St. Maarten services to operate year-round
MONTREAL, Oct. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- Air Transat is unveiling its summer 2027 flight program, featuring five new non-stop routes between Canada and Europe. Two cities are joining its network: Geneva, Switzerland, from Montreal, and Birmingham, United Kingdom, from Toronto. The other new routes will connect Quebec City to Lyon, France, and Barcelona, Spain, as well as Montreal to Faro, Portugal. Quebec City–Puerto Plata and Montreal–St. Maarten services will also be extended beyond the winter 2027 season to operate year-round.
"We want to develop a range of destinations that complement one another and offer travellers a variety of experiences," said Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat. "Our summer 2027 program combines opportunities to discover new regions of Europe with an expanded presence in markets we already serve. By extending select sun routes through the summer, we are also giving travellers more flexibility to choose when to take their holidays."

Two new European destinations
From Montreal, Air Transat will add Geneva, Switzerland, a destination that brings together leisure travel, business and academic exchanges. A French-speaking city on the shores of Lake Geneva, it is home to numerous international organizations and offers access to the Alps, including Chamonix at the foot of Mont Blanc.
From Toronto, Air Transat will expand its service to England with the addition of Birmingham, complementing London and Manchester. Located in the heart of England, Birmingham offers access to Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, and the Cotswolds.
Expanded service from Montreal
Air Transat will add a non-stop route between Montreal and Faro, in southern Portugal's Algarve region, a destination it already serves from Toronto. Faro will become the third airport Air Transat serves from Montreal in Portugal, alongside Lisbon and Porto.
Montreal–St. Maarten service will also operate year-round, providing another option for summer travel to the Caribbean.
Five non-stop European destinations from Quebec City
With the addition of Lyon and Barcelona, Air Transat will offer five non-stop European destinations from Quebec City in summer 2027, alongside Paris, Marseille and Nantes.
Quebec City–Puerto Plata service will also operate year-round, allowing travellers to enjoy Transat packages to the destination every season.
These additions complement Air Transat's broader summer 2027 network. Through its partnership with Porter Airlines, Air Transat also offers travellers across Canada convenient connections to its international network.
