Aegis announces additional candidate to Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, April 8 /CNW/ - Aegis Investment Management (Golf) Inc. ("Aegis" or "the Company") (TSX-V:AIM), a provider of golf-based franchising opportunities, announced today that the Board will propose to the shareholders the election of Richard Carrick as a new member of the Board, along with the previously announced Chip "Charles" Beck. Both Mr. Carrick and Mr. Beck have consented to be nominated for election as directors at Aegis' upcoming Annual General Meeting scheduled for April 29, 2010.

Mr. Carrick is the founder and President of iQuest Performance Centers, a Surrey, British Columbia based company that delivers affordable, world-class training across 64 sports to athletes of all ages and abilities and development programs to less active youth.

"Through his extensive background in health, wellness, fitness and athletic programs and services, Richard will add to the breadth and depth of the Board as our fourth independent director" said Tom Matzen, President and CEO of Aegis. Mr. Carrick and Mr. Beck will join Aegis' other nominees consisting of incumbent directors: Tom Matzen, President and CEO of Aegis; Paul Cox, founder and CEO of Pilotage Capital Corporation; and Richard Godfrey, CFO of Capstone Mining Corporation. Michael Levy will not be seeking re-election to the Board at the Company's forthcoming Annual General Meeting, but will continue to serve as Chief Investment Officer for the Company.
