Administrative Tribunal Sets Hearing Date For Crucitas Project Review

CALGARY, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - Infinito Gold Ltd. (the "Company") announces that the Tribunal Contencioso Administrativo (the "Administrative Tribunal") has set a date for a full hearing on the merits of the case for October 4, 2010. The announcement was made following a preliminary hearing held on September 14, 2010. The injunction prohibiting activity in the mining and tailings area continues to remain in place pending the results of the October 4, 2010 hearing.
At the October 4, 2010 hearing the Company will argue the merits of the case and additionally will argue that the matters under review by the Administrative Tribunal have already been reviewed in considerable detail by the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court ("SALA IV"). In April of 2010, the SALA IV announced in a summary verdict that the challenges raised against the grant of permits that allowed development of the Company's Crucitas gold project were without merit, with one exception that was considered to have been cured by the date of the decision. On July 9, 2010 the full and detailed written decision of the SALA IV was released and local counsel has confirmed their belief that this decision, that follows an extensive 17 month review by the SALA IV, does address the same legal matters that were raised by a group opposed to the project and filed with the Administrative Tribunal.
