Company donates $60,000 to San Diego Habitat for Humanity and spends a day helping build homes for wounded veterans.
SAN DIEGO, April 16, 2013 /CNW/ - Team members of Adconion Direct, a leader in cross channel digital advertising solutions, recently came together from 9 countries for their 2013 Annual Summit and participated in San Diego Habitat for Humanity's first "Building For The Brave" project. The program allows the community to serve those who have served by providing affordable homeownership to disabled veterans and their families. Adconion Direct's Annual Summit is designed to promote team building, leadership and strategic development while giving back to the community. The company donated $60,000 to San Diego Habitat for Humanity to support the project and over 250 employees dedicated their day to building.
"When the day began, there were just piles of lumber sitting on the Lakeside property that will become a four-home community for wounded veterans and their families. This effort resulted in completing two-thirds of the external walls! San Diego Habitat for Humanity is grateful for Adconion Direct's teamwork that made it possible to accomplish so much. "Building For The Brave" personifies the company's rich history of giving back. To date, the company has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House, Special Olympics San Diego County, San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy, Feeding America, Milestone House, Goodwill, New Life Headstart and Father Joe's Villages in addition to San Diego Habitat for Humanity.
