MONTREAL, Sept. 29, 2026 /CNW/ -- AdBio Partners, a venture capital firm specialized in early-stage life sciences, today announced the opening of a new office in Montreal, marking the firm's expansion into Canada and establishing Montreal as a new base for its investment and company-building activities alongside its European presence.
The move builds on AdBio's strategy of identifying promising science at its earliest stages and partnering with researchers, entrepreneurs and academic institutions to create and finance biotechnology companies developing first- or best-in-class therapeutics. Since its creation in 2016, AdBio has built with its two first funds a portfolio of 30 companies across Europe, attracting significant follow-on investment and syndication from leading venture capital investors and pharmaceutical companies.

AdBio's expansion coincides with the launch of its third fund, which is backed by the Fonds de solidarité FTQ, a leading Quebec-based investor that provides both capital and in-depth local expertise in the life sciences sector and among other LPs, the European Investment Fund (EIF) as well as The National Seed Fund 3, managed on behalf of the French government by Bpifrance as part of France 2030. The partnership reflects a shared ambition to support the creation and growth of biotechnology companies in Quebec and broaden their access to global capital and specialist expertise.
